That’s why we ask students like you to review our tutors across four key categories, each rated on a scale from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest score.

- Session Leadership: Keeps the class energized, focused, and on track by managing group dynamics and pacing.
- Course Mastery: Explains concepts clearly with deep knowledge to help you understand the material.
- Atmosphere Creation: Creates a welcoming and positive environment where everyone feels comfortable learning.
- Student Support: Answers questions thoroughly and makes sure you get the help you need.
How we calculate tutor skills
To make sure our tutor ratings accurately reflect what you value most, we determined the importance of each review category based on direct feedback. Through surveys, students told us which aspects of their tutoring experience mattered most to them. The results showed that Course Mastery is the top priority, followed by Session Leadership, with Atmosphere Creation and Student Support also recognized as key to your learning experience.
Based on this feedback, we assign the following weights to each category:
- 35%: Course Mastery
- 25%: Session Leadership
- 20%: Atmosphere Creation
- 20%: Student Support
We calculate a Tutor Skills score for each tutor by taking a weighted average of their ratings across the four categories. The result is a single, easy-to-understand value that reflects not just the ratings themselves, but also what students like you value most. This score highlights the qualities that matter most.
